MOCO softball showcased one of its few premiere teams tonight, as the red hot Cacklers battled the down and out Dixie Wrecks. Not just one game, a super-duper double header baby!! That's correct! Although I just caught the end of the first game (in which the Cacklers mauled the Dixie Wrecks 20-10 in an inning reduced game, due to the mercy rule), I could see the intensity and passion in the Cacklers' eyes. I knew they were ready to kick some more monkey nipple, the anticipation was killing me. The Cacklers (11-2), who lead the NE MOCO region by 2.5 games, have been on a recent unprecidented tear, winning 9 of their last 10 games, doing so in impressive fashion. In their last 10 games, they've outscored their opponents by an astonishing 228-92, only reaching the seventh inning once, their only loss in that stretch. Just the opposite, The Dixie Weaks, are 1-11, their sole win coming against The Rogue Foges, who were a fogey short, hopefully not due to his health. But anyway, LET'S PLAY BALL!!!!! The Dixin Wiens took the field first. Before i could get to my seat it seems, "crack", "yay", "smack", we were up 8-0, batting around the entire 12 man roster. Game over bitches!! The Cacklers compiled 8 hits and two walks, ending the already low hopes of the pitiful Dicksy Wimps players and fan (yep, they had one fan). With players like "Crazy Legs" Ed, who went 4-4, with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's, and "Honorable Mention" Ken, who went 3-4, with a double and an RBI, finally heating up, it gives a chance for "Bombin' Shit" Chris to collect more RBI's ("Bombin' Shit" added a 3 run blast in the 8 run 3rd inning, giving him a total of 9 HR, 42 RBI's for the season, he leads the league in both categories). "Long-Gone" Jon & Steve "Shanker" still anchor the team, sporting a .731 & .699 batting avg. respectively (1st and 4th in the league). So, after the 22-11 6 inning drubbing of The Dixie Chicks, The Cacklers (now 12-2), are spewing with confidence. The obvious demise of any team that dare challenge these unmistakeable future 2011 Champions (and think they have a chance) will be swiftly learned in 4 weeks. That's when the defending 7 time champion Cacklers will layeth the smacketh down on anyone who challenges for their title. Nuff said, Cacklers are winners, d'uh!!!!
