"The Loveable Losers". I believe deep down, they want to stay that way. Who would want to break all the curses, win, and be hated?? The Cubbies fill up Wrigley Field every game, even if they lose (which happens occasionally). So why win and be loathed?! Ron Santo has bitten the dust, Ernie is probably next, and hopefully they can win the Series before their 3rd biggest fan has expired!! I follow them all year and never give up on them, even though they let me down consistently! So, maybe I'm the curse, and they'll win in 2047 when I would be 100--if I keep drinkin' Manhattans religiously, I doubt I'll see that year, maybe 99, but not 100!! "Go Cubs!!" from your 3rd biggest fan!! Just think, only 35-36 years until WE ARE THE CHAMPS!!
